I’m Halimot, the founder of Haliberry, and I’m honoured to share a glimpse of my story with you.
My journey toward founding Haliberry has been a testament to resilience, fuelled by personal experiences and a burning desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
As a survivor of female genital mutilation (FGM/C), trafficking, and modern slavery I’ve walked a path full of challenges and obstacles. Yet, through these nightmares, I discovered a profound sense of purpose, a calling to stand against modern-day slavery and “honour”-based abuse.
Driven by a commitment to serve vulnerable individuals in our community, I founded Haliberry with a clear vision: to create a sanctuary where those facing adversity can find refuge, support, and pathways to empowerment.
At Haliberry, we believe in more than just providing assistance; we’re dedicated to fostering resilience and self-sufficiency and we empower our community members with valuable skills and opportunities for personal growth.
Haliberry is a symbol of hope, solidarity, and resilience. It’s a testament to the power of community coming together to uplift and support one another. Together, I hope that we can build a world where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
